Teen Paradise Opening On Flatbush – The Five Below Dollar Store

Teen Paradise Opening On Flatbush – The Five Below Dollar Store
Five Below on Flatbush Avenue.

FLATBUSH – Five Below is a “trend-right, high-quality extreme-value retailer for tweens, teens and beyond” they say where everything truly does retail for $5 or less, and it is opening another two stores in Brooklyn.

One of them will take prime space in the newly constructed retail-office building on the corner of Flatbush and Snyder Avenues, just a block south of Erasmus High School.

A relatively new chain, Five Below was founded by David Schlessinger, founder of Encore Books and Zany Brainy, and Tom Vellios, and opened its first store in Wayne, Pennsylvania in 2002. It has since grown into a publicly listed billion dollar + in annual sales chain (NASDAQ:FIVE) which operates over 750 stores (no franchises) and seems to be expanding aggressively.

In 2017 they opened at the Georgetown Shopping Center (2183 Ralph Av b/t Avenue K & Avenue L), and they also have a store at Spring Creek/ Gateway Plaza, and another at Kings Plaza Shopping Mall.

They are hiring at Flatbush, Gateway and Ralph Avenue locations.
