Teen Commandments Capture the G Train, Our Hearts

Well folks, we’ve got a winner. The official anthem of the G train is “No Burning Headlight,” by the Teen Commandments.

An 80’s-ish “dreamy rock number” by Williamsburgers Brett Moses and Nick LaGrasta, (in true Brooklyn 20-something style, the bandmates are also roommates), the song beat out nine other finalists to win the Brooklyn Brewery’s Brooklyn, Sweden contest and capture the hearts of crosstown commuters from Long Island City to Kensington and beyond.

As a reward for their catchy and danceable efforts, the pair get roundtrip tickets to Sweden, lodging, and passes to the Brooklyn, Sweden music festival, a Stockholm event featuring a lineup of “all-Brooklyn heavyweight bands” (Stockholm: the Sixth Borough!). They’ll also debut their song live at the Rock Shop‘s official Brooklyn, Sweden sendoff party on August 28th.
