A neighbor is asking for help catching the tattooed thief who stole a bicycle from his friend’s porch last week.

The NYPD confirmed the bicycle was snatched from a home on East 29th Street, between Avenue X and Avenue W, in the morning on July 6. The bike is valued at $560, police say.

The neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, sent us several surveillance photos of the man believed to have taken the bicycle. Some of the photographs show a distinguishing tattoo on the suspect’s right arm.

The neighbor hopes someone will recognize the person in the photographs and help police locate the suspect.
