Tastes Of Franklin Festival Launches In Crown Heights This Sunday
CROWN HEIGHTS — Retailers along the Franklin Avenue retail corridor are joining the food crawl trend this Sunday with the first-ever Tastes of Franklin Festival.
The event runs four hours from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm along Franklin Avenue between Park and Sterling Place on June 2. Try tastings from fourteen Franklin Avenue eateries, including Barboncino and newcomers including Honky Dory and Memphis Seoul. At the same time enjoy the neighborhood block party and Crow Hill Crafts Fair.
This is the third installment of Brooklyn food festivals from Tastes of Brooklyn. The group is responsible for Carrol Gardens & Cobble Hill and the new Tastes of Gowanus restaurant crawls. The event is meant to promote local eateries with samplings of popular selections. Tastes of Brooklyn will collaborate with Brooklyn Celebrity and Crow Hill Community Association for the inaugural restaurant festival.
The events benefit Seeds in the Middle, a non-profit that promotes healthy lifestyles to students and schools.
Ticket prices are $20 to $50 and can be purchased here. Organizers have prepared a convenient map to find participating vendors.
