Tastes of Brooklyn Hosts 2 Food Crawls This Weekend

CARROLL GARDENS/FLATBUSH – Tastes of Brooklyn is hosting two food crawls this weekend! The 8th Carroll Gardens-Cobble Hill Fall Crawl is slated for Saturday, October 5 and the first-ever Tastes of Flatbush will debut on Sunday, October 6.

Ticket prices for both events are $22 for four tastes and $54 for 11 tastes (prices include fees). Tickets are available online.

The Carroll Gardens-Cobble Hill crawl will invite ticket holders to sample fare from participating businesses along Court, Smith, and Henry Streets and the vicinity. Tastes of Brooklyn is partnering with Mazzone Hardware and the Boerum Hill School for International Studies‘ Culinary and Food Studies Program for the event. Attendees can pick up tickets or fresh juices from Mazzone Hardware’s annual Pumpkin Festival.

On Sunday, October 6, head east and “explore the diverse, culturally rich streets of Flatbush” where ticket holders can sample food and drink from businesses along Flatbush, Rogers, and Nostrand Avenues as well as nearby streets. Tickets are on sale at Awesome Brooklyn, 617 Flatbush Avenue near Fenimore Street, or online.

As always, proceeds from the event will support Seeds in the Middle, a non-profit organization working to empower youth in central Brooklyn with the Hip2B Healthy program. A youth-run Hip2B Healthy Market will offer juices and smoothies during both crawls, and there will be activities for kids each day.
