Talde’s Breakfast Ramen Named Signature Dish Of The Slope
Since Talde opened at 369 7th Avenue in 2011, the Asian fusion restaurant has racked up a lot of accolades. And today, The L Magazine added another, naming its breakfast ramen the “signature dish” of the Slope.
Available only during brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 3pm, the ramen ($12) is like a diner breakfast in soup form: the buttered toast broth is rich, chunks of honey-glazed bacon add some crunch and sweetness, and then you break into the perfectly cooked six-minute egg, and stir it all around the mass of noodles, and you’re pretty much set for food for the rest of the day. It stands up well to the vinegary hot sauce on the table, as well.
“Perfect alongside a spicy house Bloody Mary and a side of Sriracha tater tots,” The L notes, unbelievably accurately, as though they’ve sat next to us at brunch in the past.
So, do you think a hip fusion brunch dish is the best representation of our neighborhood? And if not, then what is?
