Friends of Clinton Hill Library Open Meeting

What:Reserve your spot for a screening of this “2011 documentary by filmmaker Selena Blake examining the socioeconomic and sociopolitical environment in Jamaica that cultivates violence against gays, lesbians, and transgender people,” as described by the Brooklyn Historical Society.

George Gray Groove Coalition
When: June 30 at noon
Where: Metrotech Commons (304 Bridge Street)
What: Vocalist Jazzmeia Horn won the 2015 Thelonious Monk Institute International Jazz Competition. Drummer George Gray has played with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, and Chuck Berry. Together, they’re an absolute must-see.

What: Come see this treasure trove of pre-gentrification Brooklyn. In the early 80’s, Diego Echeverria took 16mm camera around South Williamsburg and documented the street culture.
