Syringe Stabber Banned from Buses

Shelwyn Patt, the 53-year-old man accused of stabbing a B68 bus driver with a syringe on September 24 is now forbidden from riding city buses without an escort. Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Miriam Cyrulnik banned Patt at his arraignment, reports the New York Post. Patt is still allowed to ride the subway.

Prosecutors said Salandy, the bus driver, is undergoing a yearlong antiviral treatment. Patt is currently out on $7,500 bail.
