Swap Clothes, Books, Toys & More At A Stop ‘N’ Swap On Saturday
Have some stuff you were looking to get rid of? Looking for some new-to-you stuff? Then get ready for the GrowNYC Stop ‘N’ Swap, taking place at The Old Stone House, on 5th Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets, this Saturday, May 16 from 12-3pm.
Neighbors are invited to bring clean items in good enough shape that someone else can still get some use of of them (and small enough that they can carry them away) — think clothes, housewares, books, games, toys, and more. And anyone, whether you bring something or not, is welcome to take something home with them.
Some things you can’t bring: Oversized items, furniture, hazardous and flammable items, unsealed liquids, unsealed food, knives or other sharp objects.
Should be a fun time, but just be sure to follow their rules of conduct, lest you be booted from the trading:
1. Bring items you wish to give away to the Sorting Area (this area is for drop-off only). Participants are not allowed to select items from the sorting area.
2. Items may only be selected from the Swap Area*. If you see something you can use in the Swap Area, feel free to take it, but please also leave plenty for others.
3. Do not leave personal items unattended. GrowNYC is not responsible for theft, loss or damage.
4. Treat all patrons, volunteers and staff with respect. No profane language or other forms of disruptive or disrespectful behavior.
5. Commercial activity including advertising and distribution of promotional goods is strictly prohibited.
