SUV Crashes Into Car Near McDonald’s On Coney Island Avenue

The FDNY responded to a crash on Coney Island Avenue near Ditmas Avenue around 10:30am on Thursday morning after an SUV slammed into another car in front of the McDonald’s at 880 Coney Island Avenue.

The driver of a Ford Explorer swerved to enter the drive-thru and hit a black Infiniti sending it into a tree in front of the fast food joint, witnesses told the Daily News.

Three people were injured. The fire department transported one to New York Methodist Hospital and another to Maimonides Medical Center. The third was transported by Hatzolah. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, according to the FDNY.

Coney Island Avenue was blocked for about an hour after the incident.
