Suspects Seen Installing Skimming Device At Brighton Beach ATM
Help cops find two men caught on camera installing a device to steal debit card information from an ATM in Brighton Beach in broad daylight.
The two suspects, pictured above, were captured on surveillance camera installing a skimmer device on an ATM inside Valley National Bank at 207 Brighton Beach Avenue near Brighton 1st Street, said cops. The footage is from Monday, April 3 at 12:00pm.
A skimmer is a counterfeit reader that crooks may place over an actual card reader, then when you insert your card it scans and stores all the information on the magnetic strip.
The first suspect is described by police as a white male, about 25–35 years old. He was last seen wearing a black coat and dark sunglasses.
The second suspect is described by police male, about 25–35 years old. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt.
