The NYPD got their man, tracking the suspect in the Ingersoll Houses triple murder all the way down to North Carolina.

Cops followed a series of tips to nab Allen Cooper, 32, and he now faces three counts of murder and criminal possession of a weapon for the September 20, 2015 slayings of Calvin Clinksales, 43, Lacount Simmons, 39, and bystander Herbert Brown, 76.

The alleged killer was defiant while being led out of the 88th Precinct Friday, yelling “I don’t give a f–k. I’m here and they not,” the New York Post reports.

Herbert Brown’s grandson expressed mutual animus, according to the Daily News.

“I hope he gets what he deserves. I hope he rots in jail. They can’t bring my grandfather back,” he reportedly said.

Detectives Thomas Handley of Brooklyn North Homicide and Kenneth Juart of the 88th precinct made the arrest with the help of Fayetesville police, reports the Daily News.

Community members and leaders have used the opportunity to speak out against gun violence.

Council Member Laurie Cumbo released a statement saying that “every arrest sends a clear message that we will not allow the perpetrators of violence to derail our progress or disrupt the quality of our daily lives.”

Last September, Public Advocate James made a strong statement against gun violence, connecting it to the duty of citizens to report potential crime.

“We attend too many funerals. Enough is enough. But it’s also our responsibility. We’ve got to tell, to snitch. Manhood is defined by leadership, not by gun violence. And we also need to take these guns off our streets. Congress is hijacked by special [gun] interests.”

UPDATE [3:39 pm]: Public Advocate James had this to say to the Focus:

“Justice is finally being served for the three individuals who tragically lost their lives last September outside the Ingersoll Houses in Fort Greene. I want to thank the NYPD and our partners in North Carolina for their hard work to in obtaining the suspect, Allan Cooper. While we can’t reunite these families with their loved ones, we can all sleep a little easier tonight knowing that Mr. Cooper will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”
