Suspect Arrested In Tuesday Stabbing Of Teenage Boy
A teenage boy has been arrested for the stabbing of a fellow teen on a Ditmas Park sidewalk Tuesday morning.
Frances Shortt, 16, was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with stabbing a 16-year-old boy with a knife in the upper back around 8am Tuesday morning near the corner of Westminster Road and Foster Avenue, police said.
The stabbing victim was in critical condition when he was taken to the Kings County Hospital Center on Tuesday. He was unable to speak because of his injuries. No updates were available from the NYPD about his condition this morning.
Shortt, who lives on Nostrand Avenue near Foster Avenue, is being charged with attempted murder in the second degree, along with five counts of assault, menacing in the second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon.
