The NYPD announced this morning that a suspect was arrested yesterday in connection with a shooting near the Barclays Center last Wednesday that left one man injured.

Twenty-nine-year-old Jonathan Cordoba of Flatbush was arrested on Thursday and charged with assault, reckless endangerment, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon, among other offenses, according to police.

Following an argument between the suspect and an unidentified individual, gunshots were fired in broad daylight near 620 Atlantic Avenue and Flatbush Avenue at 2:14pm on Wednesday, June 14, police say. The intended target managed to get away, but a bullet hit a male bystander in the ankle.

Cordoba was identified by the victim in a police lineup, a NYPD representative says.

The police are still searching for the other individual involved in the dispute, according to the rep. The investigation is ongoing.
