Support PS/MS 282’s New Mural & Chess Team
Want to show some love for a local school? PS/MS 282, located at 180 6th Avenue, has two great ways for neighbors to support them: By helping to create a giant mural, and by cheering on their chess team!
Starting this Saturday, April 26 and continuing each Saturday until June 14, in partnership with 2020 Schools, the school community will be creating a giant mural on the front of the school reflecting the theme I Am 282, which has become the unofficial motto of the school. You don’t need any special skills, you don’t need to have a child in the school, you just need a desire to help out our local school! You can pre-register here, or just drop by any Saturday.
Another cool thing happening for 282 this weekend is that the defending U900 Section National Champion Royal Panthers 282 Chess Team is headed to Junior High Nationals in Atlanta, and then to Elementary Nationals the weekend of May 10-11 in Dallas.
