Support Local Businesses At Cortelyou At Twilight
Cortelyou at Twilight is upon us again! Check out a wide range of local shops participating in the evening, hosted by the Flatbush Development Corporation, which takes place next Tuesday, October 20 from 5-8pm.
Over 20 of the neighborhood’s restaurants, bars, and shops invite neighbors to sample new culinary creations and some local favorites. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event at the Cortelyou Library (please note: day-of tickets are cash only). All tickets include ten food tastes and five drink tastes (Must be 21 years or older for some drink tastes). Tasting will start at 5pm and go on till 8pm or while supplies last.
Participating eateries include The Castello Plan, Asya Indian Restaurant, Sycamore, Bar Chord, The Farm on Adderley, Kings County Wines, Cortelyou Craft Beer, Cortelyou Market by Key Food, Catskill Bagels, Natural Frontier Market, Hartwell Vegetarian, Lea, Cinco De Mayo, Flatbush Food Co-op, Café Madeline, Ox Cart, Plaza Gourmet Deli, San Remo Pizzeria, 773 Lounge, Connecticut Muffin, Jr. Bella’s Pizza & Pasta, Little Miss Saigon and Kettle and Thread.
There will also be live music performances from Ezra Guitar in front of the Cortelyou Library, which will be open until 8pm.
According to the FDC, all of the proceeds from tickets sales will support upcoming community events along Cortelyou Road, helping to “ensure that the Cortelyou Road commercial corridor remains a clean, safe, vibrant, welcoming and exciting destination for all.”
Assemblymember Jim Brennan‘s office is raffling off two pairs of Twilight tickets, which also include a $50 gift certificate and a meeting with Assemblymember Brennan before the event. To enter the contest, participants must answer the following question: How does Cortelyou Road represent community? The two best answers will be selected and contacted by this Thursday.
