Subway Service Changes To Look Out For This Week

If you’ve got plans to ride the subway late at night to or from our area, there are a few things to look out for, from longer waits on the G, to the F running along the A line in one section, and more. Here’s the roundup, via the MTA:

4 service operates in two sections
Late nights, 12:01am to 5am, Tuesday to Friday, April 1-4
4 trains run between Woodlawn and Brooklyn Bridge, and between Brooklyn Bridge and New Lots Av. Transfer at Brooklyn Bridge to continue your trip. Note: At Brooklyn Bridge, New Lots Av-bound trains board at the uptown platform.

Coney Island-bound F trains run via the A from W 4 St to Jay St-MetroTech
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, March 31-April 4
No Coney Island-bound F service at B’way-Lafayette St, 2 Av, Delancey St, East Broadway, and York St.

G trains run every 20 minutes
Late evenings, beginning 11pm, Monday to Thursday, until April 24
Allow additional travel time.

No R shuttle train between 59 St and 36 St
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, until April 25
R service operates between 95 St and 59 St. For 53, 45, and 36 Sts, take the instead. Transfer between trains at 59 St.

No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.

Additionally, look out for more changes further down the line on the 2, 4, 5, B, D, F, N, and Q.
