The A Goes Express, The N/Q/R Gets FasTracked & More Subway Service Changes

Below you’ll find early week subway service changes for the A, C, G, B, Q, D, N, R, 2, 3, 4, and 5 lines in Brooklyn, plus the Franklin Avenue shuttle. Check back Thursday to see what’s happening this weekend. Changes via MTA.info.

Today:

Ozone Park/Far Rockaway-bound A trains run express from Hoyt-Schermerhorn to Utica Av
Late nights, 11:45pm-5am, Monday to Friday until November 21

For service to Lafayette, Clinton-Washington, Franklin and Kingston-Throop Avs,
take the A to Utica Av and transfer to an Inwood-bound A. For service from these stations, take the A to Hoyt-Schermerhorn and transfer to an Ozone Park/Far Rockaway-bound A.

You can also transfer between trains with Unlimited Ride MetroCard at Nostrand Av.

Flatbush Av-bound 2 trains skip Bergen St, Grand Army Plaza and Eastern Pkwy
Late nights, 11:45pm-5am, Monday to Friday through November 21

For service to these stations, take the 2 to Franklin Av and transfer to a Manhattan-bound 2 or 4. For service from these stations, take the 2 or 4 to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and transfer to a Flatbush Av-bound 2.

New Lots Av-bound 4 trains skip Bergen St, Grand Army Plaza and Eastern Pkwy
Late nights, 11:45pm-5am, Monday to Friday through November 21

For service to these stations, take the 4 to Franklin Av and transfer to a Manhattan-bound 2 or 4. For service from these stations, take the 2 or 4 to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and transfer to a New Lots Av-bound 4.

No G trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Av
Late nights, 11:45pm-5am, Monday to Friday through November 21

No G service at Bergen, Carroll, Smith-9 Sts, 4 Av-9 St, 7 Av, 15 St-Prospect Park, Fort Hamilton Pkwy and Church Av. Take the F instead, then transfer between A and F trains at Jay St-MetroTech or between A and G trains at Hoyt-Schermerhorn.

G service operates in two sections:
1. Between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs
2. Between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Hoyt-Schermerhorn

Transfer at Bedford-Nostrand Avs to continue your trip.

No N trains in Manhattan/ Q trains are rerouted in Manhattan/ R service ends early in Queens, Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
Late Nights, 10pm-5am, Monday to Friday through November 21

N service operates in two sections:
1. Between Stillwell Av and Court St, making local stops
2. Between Queensboro Plaza and Ditmars Blvd

Q service operates between Stillwell Av and DeKalb Av, and is rerouted as follows:
• Via the between DeKalb Av and 47-50 Sts
• Via the to/from 57 St

R service operates in Brooklyn between 95 St and 36 St. More info here.

Astoria-bound N trains run local from 59 St, Brooklyn to DeKalb Av
Evenings, beginning 8:30pm, Monday through Thursday until November 20

Norwood-bound D trains run local from 36 St, Brooklyn to DeKalb Av
Evenings, beginning 8:30pm, Monday to Thursday until November 20

Please allow additional travel time.

Starting Wednesday:

Brighton Beach-bound B trains run local from Prospect Park to Kings Hwy
Days, 9:45am-3pm, Wednesday to Friday until November 21

Please allow additional travel time. Service change ends at 2pm on Friday, November 21.

Ditmars Blvd-bound Q trains run express from Kings Hwy to Prospect Park
Days, 9:45am-3pm, Wednesday to Friday until November 21

Trains stop at Newkirk Plaza and Church Av. For service to Avenue M, Avenue J, Avenue H, Cortelyou, Beverley Rds and Parkside Av, take the Q to Newkirk Plaza, Church Av or Prospect Park and transfer to a Brighton Beach-bound B or Coney Island-bound Q.

For service from these stations, take the B or Q to Church Av, Newkirk Plaza or Kings Hwy and transfer to a Manhattan-bound Q.
