Subway Groper Accosted And Followed 15-Year-Old Girl On The R Train, Say Cops

A 15-year-old girl was reportedly groped repeatedly by a man who first accosted her on the subway and then followed her onto the platform at the DeKalb Avenue N/R station on Wednesday, April 6, say police.

The suspect is the man seen above in an image taken from surveillance video. He is described as an Asian male in his 20s.

Police say the incident took place shortly before 8am when the suspect boarded the northbound R train at the 36th Street station, sat down next to the girl, and began rubbing her thigh and lower back. When she got out at the DeKalb Avenue station, he allegedly followed her and continued to rub her back until she got out of the station.

This is a terrifying report, especially considering so many of our brothers, sisters, and kids commute to school every morning and afternoon.
