Subway Assault in Bensonhurst

BENSONHURST – Police are looking for the man who assaulted a woman on the D train in Bensonhurst last week.

On Monday, November 6, around 12:30 pm, the suspect got into an argument with a 20-year old woman on the northbound D train as they approached 79th Street station. The argument escalated into a physical altercation as the man grabbed the woman by the face and pushed her up against the window of the train, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black man, 50 to 60 years-old, about 5′ 9″ and 160lbs. He was last seen wearing a black bubble coat over light blue clothes, with black shoes and a blue wool hat.
