Stuff Your Face This Sunday At The Cortelyou Greenmarket Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest

Hope you strawberry fiends have been training since last year, because this Sunday, June 22, is the annual Cortelyou Greenmarket Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest!

Manager Emily Winkler-Morey says the contest will start at 11am near the market’s information tent, and kids and adults are welcome. Each participant will get one piece of locally-sourced strawberry shortcake, and awards will be given for the fastest, messiest, and cleanest eaters.

The contest is free, and no pre-registration is necessary–simply come hungry to Cortelyou Road between Argyle and Rugby Roads on Sunday morning, and get ready for some sweet victory.
