A two-and-a-half story house at 2 Stratford Road will be torn down to make way for a three-story, eight-unit residential building covering 2-8 Stratford Road, by Caton Avenue, New York YIMBY first reported.

2 Stratford LLC, owned by David Winiarski, filed an application for the building on January 30, according to this city Department of Buildings record. The filing said that Rockaway-based architect Valentino Pompeo is designing the new structure, located just across from the Parade Grounds.

The new project comes at a time of quite a bit of development happening in the area, with The Kestrel, a 126-unit residential building, opening at the nearby 33 Caton Place, and a nine-story building being planned for 72 Caton Place.
