Stolen Headlights, Pencil Stabbing, and More Recent Crimes in the Area

Above is the most recent CompStat report from the 70th Precinct, which covers the week of 7/30-8/5/12, and below is a roundup of some recent crimes around the neighborhood:

• Neighbor Ann noticed an SUV’s headlights had been stolen while parked near Glenwood and Amersfort Pl overnight on August 1.

• A teenager was arrested for burglarizing a Flatbush Ave school between Church and Snyder (so, Erasmus), stealing a microwave and food after breaking in through the roof at about 4am on August 2, according to the Brooklyn Daily.

• The Brooklyn Daily also notes a woman was arrested for stabbing a man in the mouth with a pencil at about 11:30am on August 6 on Lenox between Flatbush and Bedford.

• A man was arrested and charged with murder after stabbing his mother to death in his apartment on Ocean Avenue on August 11.
