Stay In The Neighborhood For Super Bowl Sunday!
There’s fun stuff — and good food — happening all over Ditmas Park and Kensington in honor of Super Bowl Sunday. Here’s what we’ve heard about so far from our local bars and restaurants.
Remember — kick-off is at 6:30pm.
- Highbury Pub, on the corner of Cortelyou Road and Coney Island Avenue, is having a pot luck Super Bowl. They’ll be starting with Shepherd’s Pie. Bring a dish to share! Four TV’s from which to see the game from anywhere in the bar.
- The 773 Lounge on Coney Island Avenue will have a couple 3-foot sandwiches and a hot buffet on offer, and the big game on all 14 screens. “There’s not a bad seat in the house.” Pre-game festivities all day.
- At Bar Chord on Cortelyou Road, the game will be on the big screen and bartenders will be serving up wings and chili for patrons.
- At Shenanigans Pub on Caton Avenue and East 8th Street, the game will be on every screen and catered food will be available for all. “Come on in!”
- Hamilton’s, on Fort Hamilton Parkway, will be showing the game on their big screen and offering a chili special in addition to their full dinner menu.
- Denny’s Pub, at the corner of Church and McDonald Avenues, is also bringing in catered food for the big night. There are “lots” of TV’s from which to see the game.
- At Sycamore Bar & Flower Shop on Cortelyou Road, the game will be on, and special sandwiches from Gaddy Lane will be on offer.
- Wheated, at Church and Coney Island Avenues, will be showing the game — with the sound off — in case you want to enjoy one of their pizzas at the bar, chat, and just keep an eye on what’s happening with Denver and North Carolina.
Have a great night!
