State Senator Kevin Parker’s Twitter Fail

EAST FLATBUSH — State Sen. Parker told a Republican state staffer to “kill yourself!” then apologized and then went onto a tweet rant about the same person he told to die all within 63 minutes.
The whole meltdown came after Deputy Communications Director Candice Giove called the senator out for alleged placard abuse.
“The placard is assigned to @SenatorParker. However, the license plate # on the placard does not match the vehicle. So he either used it in another ar or gave it to someone to use, both of which are not permitted,” she posted.
To which the state senator responded: Kill Yourself!

Parker then went on to say sorry on Twitter, apologizing for making light of the serious nature of suicide but pointedly failing to address Giove specifically.
“I sincerely apologize. I used a poor choice of words. Suicide is a serious thing and should not be made light of,” he wrote.
After a Twitter storm of disdain for his comment and placard abuse, Parker then went on to denounce Giove’s affiliations with the anti-IDC, with additional comments about her being on the “wrong side of history” of issues facing New York state.
Where was @Candicegiove when NYers voted for a #Democratic State Senate & progressive legislation like the Dream Act & CFE funding? That’s right, working with the #NOIDC appendage of the GOP. #DreamAct #CFEFunding

Since the ordeal, Parker has since reportedly called Giove an “internet troll.”
Parker has been in the hot seat for his temper before. In 2009, the state senator scuffled with a New York Post cameraman and ultimately smashed his camera in front of his Flatbush home. This after a series of run-ins with a traffic agent and a former staffer.
But what about that placard abuse, huh?
The senator’s office did not respond to inquiries before post time.
