St. Augustine’s Honors World AIDS Day With Ribbons & Service
In honor of the upcoming World AIDS Day on December 1, St. Augustine’s Church (116 6th Avenue, between Prospect and Park Places) has lined its fences with red ribbons to show support for those who live with HIV and AIDS, and to voice the love they feel for those lost in death to the disease.
If you’d like to help remember a loved one as a part of the display, you can leave that person’s name in an envelope marked “Ribbon Project” in the mail slot of the rectory door.
Then join the congregation on Sunday, December 1 at 7pm for a service with music and words of hope. The service is open to everyone, and there will be a reception afterward.
