We’ve got less than a week until the day of love – Valentine’s Day. Maybe you and your lover are looking for a spot in the nabe to spark some romance, or maybe you’re single and looking to mingle with those who hate the holiday as much as you do.

Whether you’re trying to find a dinner for two or a bar to meet a special someone, we’ve got you covered with this guide to a weekend of love in the nabe. And if you’re celebrating the day in another way, tell us in the comments.

If you want to get your fix of prix-fixe – or Valentine’s Day specials for two – there are a bunch of places in the nabe offering deals:

If Italian is more your thing, Locanda Vini e Olii in Clinton Hill is offering a four-course meal for $60 per person. The menu includes options for all eaters, and the restaurant promises accommodations for any allergies and restrictions. For an extra $25 per person, wine pairing is available. Call (718) 622-9202 or email vinieolii@gmail.com for reservations.Madiba Restaurant in Fort Greene, which has been “a place of love since 1999,” is celebrating its mission on Valentine’s Day. The menu remains the same, but there will be numerous specials available. You can book a table online.
  • Prospect, also in Fort Greene, will celebrate Valentine’s Day with a five-course tasting meal. For $95, you can sample some of Prospect’s most romantic menu options. The night is for walk-ins only – no reservations.

What screams classic “date night” more than dinner and a movie? If you’re looking to make it a one-stop night, head down to the Brooklyn Academy of Music for a Valentine’s Day dinner and a movie. For $69 per person, you can see a movie in BAM Rose Cinemas and dine in the BAMCafe. The movie, “The Lady Eve,” is a part of BAM’s “Vengeance is Hers” series. The dinner is a four-course affair, with your choice of servings. If you want to skip the dinner, the movie is $13 per person and is showing at 6:30 and 8:45 p.m. Buy tickets here.

If fancy dinners aren’t your thing, head to the Barclay’s Center for some sports fun – the Harlem Globetrotters will take the court to show of insane ball-handling skills. This is a good option for singles, friends or families – tickets start at $33.

La Belle Boutique, located at 306 Franklin Avenue at Lafayette Avenue and Clinton Place, will offer a sensual couples’ massage workshop. For $175 per couple, you can learn how to give your lover a relaxing massage using Swedish massage techniques. The first 45 minutes is a demo lesson, and the remaining 80 minutes is a hands-on workshop with aroma oils to turn up the heat. All massage beds will face the walls in a circle for privacy and intimacy – your eyes will only be on your partner. There will also be desserts and wine to add to the steamy atmosphere.

Music is one of the universal love languages and what better way to woo your date than a soulful concert? BRIC will host a special Valentine’s Day concert called “Les Nubians in Love.” The Grammy-nominated sister duo is known for their French-infused Afropean-urban-R&B sound, and they will heat the night with their soulful love jams. Tickets are $18 in advance and $22 at the door. The show starts at 9 p.m. at the BRIC House Ballroom at 647 Fulton Street.

Admit it: You’ve felt a connection with a stranger riding on the subway – that cute businessman rushing home after a long week or that pretty girl with her nose in a book. Maybe you noticed each other in a fleeting moment and wish to have it back. Well, the New York Transit Museum is here to help with its “Missed Connections: Love in Transit” party from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. For $15, you can hop on the MTA’s “love train” for a night of music, flirting and brief encounters. Who knows – you might meet that missed connection.

If you want to keep the music going through the weekend, BAM is celebrating with some sultry tunes with the Soulfolk Experience as a part of its BAMCafe Live series. Soulfolk Experience was voted the “Best Band in Brooklyn” in 2011 by WNYC, and they specialize in “sultry, mellow soul.”  The show is free and begins at 9 p.m. in the BAMCafe.

On Sunday, celebrate your sweethearts with Fort Greene Co-op School and its annual Valentine’s Day dance at the Irving Rec Room. There will be a variety of activities for parents and children alike – music and plenty of sweet treats for sale. The proceeds of the event will be used to fund scholarships for the school. Bring the kids and come dance from 4 until 7 p.m.
