Special One-Night Preview Of Exhibition By Visiting Bangladeshi Artist Nasima Khanam Queenie This Thursday In Kensington
A special one-night preview of an exhibition by Nasima Khanam Queenie, a visiting artist from Bangladesh, will be held this Thursday, July 31, from 6pm to 9pm at 131 Chester Avenue (between Church Avenue and Louisa Street) in Kensington.
The preview of the exhibition, which will be held on August 3 and August 4 in Astoria, will be at the home of Nasima’s sister, Annie Ferdous, a Kensington resident.
In a brochure Annie sent us about Thursday’s preview, Nasima is described as “a noted artist artist from Bangladesh” who “works in a wide range of media and in a variety of colors.”
“Her works showcase freedom, harmony and coexistence of all beings in unison unbothered by the struggle for survival,” the brochure continues. “The chosen theme is a celebration of the virginity of nature in its purest form and a reflection in the search of lost time.”
