In addition to their ever evolving list of in-store classes, Brooklyn ARTery (1021 Cortelyou Road between Stratford Road and Coney Island Avenue) is holding some exciting new events next month–some in conjunction with other local businesses, and some absolutely free. Check some select events out below, and see the full list, including origami, knitting, block printing, and more at the Brooklyn ARTery website.

Burlesque Drink & Draw
Wednesdays December 4, 11, and 18, 7-9pm
This event is made possible with a little help from Bar Chord (1008 Cortelyou Road between Stratford Road and Coney Island Avenue), where artists 21 and over are welcomed to bring their charcoal, Microns, pastels, or other preferred sketching utensils and hone their figure drawing skills. Brooklyn ARTery will supply paper. $12, reserve your spot here.

Swap & Shop
Friday December 13, 6-8pm
Bring the best of your closet that you just know you’ll never wear, swap with your neighbors, and shop for Brooklyn ARTery accessories at a discount. The event is free, but space is limited–so reserve your spot here.

Parents’ Night Out
Saturdays December 14, 21, and 28, 6-8pm
Kids 5-11 years old are invited to join classes at the ARTery with storytellers, artists, and musicians–and their parents are invited to take some time off! Each class comes with a coupon for two free drinks in restaurants in Ditmas Park, so adults can have a romantic and relaxing couple of hours away. $25 per child and $15 per sibling, specify which dat you’d prefer and reserve your spot here.

Sunday Tastings
Sundays December 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, 1-3pm
Stop by the store to sample coffee, kimchee, peanut butter, chocolate, and more, all handmade in Brooklyn.
