South Slope Weekday Events Spotlight

You don’t need to wait for the weekend to get your dose of South Slope nightlife! Here’s a few of the events that are happening in our area through Wednesday:

Dive Comedy
When: Monday, September 9, 9pm
Where: Freddy’s, 627 5th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Street
What: Have you had it with Monday? Need a laugh? Head over to Freddy’s for a little Dive Comedy. Local musicians open and close the show, too, so it’s definitely the place to be if you’re struggling with a case of the Monday blues.

Jazz At The Fifth Estate
When: Tuesday, September 10, 7pm to 1am
Where: 506 5th Avenue, between 12th and 13th Street
What: Zebra print wallpaper and jazz? Yes, please. The jam sessions run until 1am, so you’ve got plenty of time to pop in for an after-dinner nightcap.
How much: Free!

Open Mic Night at The Monro
When: Wednesday, September 11, 8:30pm to 10:30pm
Where: 481 5th Avenue, between 11th and 12th Street
What: Grab the mic and show South Slope your stuff.
How much: Free!
