Don’t wait until this weekend for a little neighborhood fun! With everything from NY Underground music to free beer, South Slope is definitely the place to be through Wednesday.

Shape Up NYC: Couch To 5k
When: Monday, June 23, 7pm
Where: Meets in Prospect Park on the porch of Lefferts Historic House
What: Doesn’t our gorgeous Monday just make you want to lace up those sneakers, and make your fitness dreams a reality in Prospect Park? This weekly jog combines group running, walking, and conditioning exercises to get you in shape for long distance running.
How much: Free.

Music From NY Underground
When: Tuesday, June 24, 8:30pm
Where: Freddy’s, 627 5th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Streets
What: Experimental music descends on Freddy’s Tuesday in this monthly series that features “hard-working New York-based creative music artists.” This week, look for Lucas Collins, performing with Nonoko Yoshida Trio at 8:30pm, followed by The Rascal Trio at 10pm.
How much: $10 suggested donation.

Kings Bay Y Rock With Adam
When: Wednesday, June 25, 10:30am
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue at 9th Street
What: Are you ready to rock? Neighborhood kids are definitely in for a treat as guitarist Adam Blotner plays some of his favorite tunes.
How much: Free, but tickets are required for entry (one per family), so be sure to arrive early to score your ticket.

Story Play
When: Wednesday, June 25, 1:30pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue at 9th Street
What: Bring the family out to the library on Wednesday afternoon for stories, games, and fun with friends. Geared toward children ages birth to 3-years.
How much: Free, but tickets are required for entry (one per family), so be sure to arrive early to score your ticket.

Our Town At Green-Wood
When: Wednesday through Saturday until June 28, 7:30pm
Where: Green-Wood Cemetery, 5th Avenue and 23rd Street
What: After last year’s successful Spoon River Project, theatre returns to Green-Wood for this summer’s production of Our Town, directed by James Presson. Doors open at 7pm for most shows, with the curtain going up at 7:30, but if you’d like a really unique experience, there will be a special midnight performances on June 28. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit the Green-Wood website.
How much: $30 in advance, $35 at the door, $40 for midnight shows. Note that guests under 25 and members of Green-Wood or the Brooklyn Historical Society will receive $5 off.

Beer Talk With Finback Brewery
When: Wednesday, June 25, 8pm
Where: Supercollider, 609 4th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Streets
What: Free beer alert! Finback Brewery is setting up shop at Supercollider Wednesday, and will offer free beers from  8pm to 9pm, and then have them priced at $3 from 9pm to 10pm. Cheers!
How much: Free!
