Don’t wait until this weekend for a little neighborhood fun! With everything from video games and jazz to the return of Celebrate Brooklyn, South Slope is definitely the place to be through Wednesday.

Game On!
When: Monday, June 2, 3:30-5pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue at 9th Street
What: Calling all teens. Come battle your friends on the video game field at the Park Slope Library. Open to kids ages 12 and up.
How much: Free.

Shape Up NYC: Couch To 5k
When: Monday, June 2, 7pm
Where: Meets in Prospect Park on the porch of Lefferts Historic House
What: Doesn’t this gorgeous Monday just make you want to lace up those sneakers, and make your fitness dreams a reality in Prospect Park? This weekly jog combines group running, walking, and conditioning exercises to get you in shape for long distance running.
How much: Free.

Jazz And Improv
When: Tuesday, June 3, 6-9:30pm
Where: Freddy’s, 627 5th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Streets
What: Music and laughs are on tap at Freddy’s Tuesday evening. First up at 6pm is Isaac Darche, the “jazz guitarist with lightning fast chops, relaxed sense of swing, and propulsive energy.” Afterward, stick around for  JANET Comedy Improv at 8pm.
How much: No cover.

Kings Bay Y Rock With Adam
When: Wednesday, June 4, 10:30-11:30am
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue at 9th Street
What: Are you ready to rock? Neighborhood kids are definitely in for a treat as guitarist Adam Blotner plays some of his favorite tunes.
How much: Free, but tickets are required for entry (one per family), so be sure to arrive early to score your ticket.

Celebrate Brooklyn: Janelle Monáe
When: Wednesday, June 4, 8pm
Where: Prospect Park Bandshell, 9th Street and Prospect Park West
What: The moment has finally arrived! Celebrate Brooklyn is back, with soul/R&B/funk musician Janelle Monáe kicking things off at the opening night concert.
How much: $3 suggested donation.
