Don’t wait until this weekend for a little neighborhood fun! With everything from sultry jazz to a big library playdate, South Slope is definitely the place to be through Wednesday.

Shape Up NYC: Couch To 5k
When: Monday, June 16, 7pm
Where: Meets in Prospect Park on the porch of Lefferts Historic House
What: Doesn’t this gorgeous Monday just make you want to lace up those sneakers, and make your fitness dreams a reality in Prospect Park? This weekly jog combines group running, walking, and conditioning exercises to get you in shape for long distance running.
How much: Free.

Wine, Art & The Word
When: Tuesday, June 17, 7:30pm
Where: Resurrection Coptic Catholic Church garden, 328 14th Street
What: An evening of New York State wine tasting and fellowship for Catholic young adults, and Father Antoine Rizk will give a talk about byzantine iconography.
How much: Free.

Trivia Night
When: Tuesday, June 17, 8pm
Where: Johnny Mack’s, 1114 8th Avenue
What: This is a good night to be clever — in addition to their usual $25 bar tab and “big money round,” they’ll also be giving away four tickets to see The National at Celebrate Brooklyn in Prospect Park on Thursday, June 19.
How much: Free.

Miss Ida Blue
When: Tuesday, June 17, 9pm
Where: Freddy’s, 627 5th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Streets
What: “Hear the blues as a drunk, raunchy, and illicit work of art” when Miss Ida Blue takes the stage with her eight piece orchestra.
How much: Free!

Big Park Slope Playdate
When: Wednesday, June 18, 10:30-12:30am
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue at 9th Street
What: It’s all fun and games at the Park Slope Library Wednesday, as kids birth through 3-years-old (and their caregivers) are invited to come out for activities that encourage early literacy.
How much: Free, but tickets are required for entry (one per family), so be sure to arrive early to score your ticket.

Our Town At Green-Wood
When: Wednesdays through Saturdays, June 11-28, 7:30pm
Where: Green-Wood Cemetery, 5th Avenue and 23rd Street
What: After last year’s successful Spoon River Project, theatre returns to Green-Wood for this summer’s production of Our Town, directed by James Presson. Doors open at 7pm for most shows, with the curtain going up at 7:30, but if you’d like a really unique experience, there will be special midnight performances on June 21, and 28. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit the Green-Wood website.
How much: $30 in advance, $35 at the door, $40 for midnight shows. Note that guests under 25 and members of Green-Wood or the Brooklyn Historical Society will receive $5 off.
