Don’t wait until this weekend for a little neighborhood fun! With everything from Prospect Park fun and meditation, to kiddie rock and Bond, South Slope is definitely the place to be through Wednesday. Here are some of our favorite events from around the area:

Presidents’ Week In Prospect Park
When: Through Friday, February 20, 12-4pm
Where: Audubon Center, Prospect Park
What: Have the kids ever asked how their favorite Prospect Park animals survive during the winter months? The Audubon Nature Center will answer that question and more during the holiday break, through games, science activities, and Naturalist-led tours.
How much: Free.

Brain Cloud
When: Monday, February 16, 7pm
Where: Barbes, 376 9th Street near 6th Avenue
What: Make your way to Barbes on Monday night and let Brain Cloud serenade you with their Bob Wills inspired “New Orleans-meets-Texas, strings-meet-horns, jazz-meets-country sound.” It’s great stuff.
How much: $10 (strongly) suggested donation.

Toddler Tuesday
When: Every Tuesday, 9:30am-12pm
Where: Prospect Park, LeFrak Center at Lakeside
What: Ice has officially taken over the rink in Prospect Park, but Toddler Tuesdays are still going strong every week at Lakeside. Kids ages 2-5 (and their caregivers) will have a blast with instructor-led play and music activities, healthy snacks, and open skate time with skate rentals, helmets, and pad packs included. Ice skating grippers are available on a first-come, first-served basis for caregivers not comfortable on the ice.
How much: $15 per child, free admission for accompanying adult ($6 adult skate rental available).

The Art Of Living Meditation Workshop
When: Tuesday, February 17, 6-8pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: Stress and life in the big city often go hand in hand, but the Park Slope Library is at the ready with a meditation workshop, led by volunteer organization The Art of Living. Note that this class is for adults only. No reservation is required.
How much: Free.

Rock With Adam
When: Wednesday, February 18, 10:30am
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue at 9th Street
What: Are you ready to rock? Neighborhood kids are definitely in for a treat as guitarist Adam Blotner plays some of his favorite tunes.
How much: Free, but tickets are required for entry (one per family), so be sure to arrive early to score your ticket.

Shape Up NYC: Glutes In Gear
When: Wednesday, February 18, 6-7pm
Where: Audubon Center, Prospect Park
What: Looking for a belly-busting, booty shaping workout? This two-part class focuses on high-endurance cardio and mat work to build your core, and flatten and tighten your abs and glutes. No registration is required, but be sure to bring your own mat.
How much: Free.

James Bond Wednesday
When: Wednesday, February 18, 9pm
Where: Sea Witch, 703 5th Avenue, between 21st and 22nd Streets
