Don’t wait until the weekend for a little neighborhood fun! Here’s a few of the events that are happening in our area through Wednesday:

North By Northwest
When: Monday, October 7, 9pm
Where: Bar Toto, 6th Avenue at 11th Street
What: The spotlight is on Alfred Hitchcock this month for Bar Toto’s Monday night movies. Tonight it’s North by Northwest, October 14 is Lifeboat, October 21 is Strangers on a Train, and (just in time for Halloween) October 28th is Psycho.
How much: Free!

Book Party And Reading Of Tom Drury’s Pacific
When: Tuesday, October 8, 7pm to 9pm
Where: South, 5th Avenue between 17th and 18th Street
What: Celebrate the National Book Award nomination of Tom Drury’s “Pacific” at  South. Rosie Schaap, author of Drinking With Men, will mix Pacific-themed cocktails behind the bar, beer, wine and mixed drinks will be a dollar off, Tom will read a few bar-themed passages, and books will be available for purchase.
How much: Free!

Open Mic Night
When: Wednesday, October 29, 8:30am to 10:30pm
Where: The Monro Pub, 5th Avenue between 11th and 12th
What: The mic is hot over at The Monro, so head over to belt out some of your favorites.
How much: Free!
