South Slope Rental Roundup

South Slope Rental Roundup

In the market for a new rental? You’re in luck, because we’ve put together some of our favorite listings from the neighborhood for the week. Check ‘em out and let us know what you think:

633 10th Street
Looking for a studio? This parlor level rental features southwest exposures, high ceilings, a bay window, and dishwasher. Best of all, the landmarked brownstone is rent stabilized. Now, they do mention the word, “quaint” in the listing, so here’s to hoping the place is slightly larger than the cardboard playhouse I just built in my kid’s bedroom. Asking $1,711. Pet friendly

South Slope near Prospect Avenue R Train – Unlisted Address
Like white? The listing by Betancourt and Associates describes this rental as “sleek and modern”, but we’d call it surgery chic (see photo above). The place does rock some pretty impressive features, though, and would probably work best as a share. The three-bedroom, one-bath apartment comes furnished with black leather couches, a new washer and dryer, two refrigerators and five wall mounted televisions. With five televisions placed strategically around the home, you’ll never have to miss a moment of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo again. Listed for $3,200. No pets

420 12th Street
At the top of our budget this week is a 1,200 square foot, two-bedroom, 2-bath in the Ansonia Court building. The apartment features a full size washer/dryer, dishwasher, original exposed brick, wooden ceilings and a renovated kitchen with tons of counter and cabinet space. A huge selling point for this building is the giant shared courtyard, which most certainly makes neighboring South Slopers green with envy. Listed by Corcoran for $4,500.
