South Slope Events Spotlight: October 25-28

From family art to special brews, there’s plenty to do in South Slope this weekend, and these are our top picks.

Thursday, October 25

Been one of those days? Relax with a tasty beverage at Slope Cellars (436 7th Avenue). St. George Spirits will be there from 6-8pm tonight with a free tasting of their Terroir Gin and Absinthe.

Friday, October 26

Starting Friday at noon, Toby’s Public House (686 6th Avenue) will begin serving one of Smuttynose Brewery’s special brews, Herbaceous. The beer is in short supply, though, South Slope, so you if want to give it a try, be sure to stop by Toby’s before it’s all gone!

Saturday, October 27

Head to Hootenanny Art House (426-428 15th Street) on Saturday from 3-5pm for Open Family Art. For $20, the entire crew can paint, color, cut, paste and create to their hearts’ content.

Sunday, October 28

Show some love for our neighbors at Leathernecks Tattoo (667A 5th Avenue) this Sunday from 2pm-2am as they host their 2nd Annual Halloween Party for Huntington’s Disease. Costume contest, raffles and giveaways are on the agenda. All proceeds will benefit the Huntington’s Disease Society of America and the Huntington’s Disease Unit of Terrence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center.
