When: Thursday, November 14, 8pm
Where: Freddy’s, 627 5th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Street
What: The hilarious Opera on Tap and their hit show, Smashed: The Carrie Nation Story, are taking over Freddy’s on Thursday night, so grab a beer and get ready for a “fully immersive, all-bar-encompassing” operatic experience. No fancy clothes or opera glasses required.

Where: The Children’s School Gym, 512 Carroll Street, between 3rd and 4th Avenue
What: If you’re looking for family fun this weekend, don’t miss the P.S. 374 Harvest Dance. The evening promises tasty international foods, live music by Ann Murphy and Celtic Rhythm, and Haitian Drummer Jean Mary Brignol. Dances from Mexico, South Africa, Haiti and the United States will be taught by P.S. 372 artists, too, so make sure you’ve got those dancing shoes ready for action.
How Much: Advanced Tickets are $12 for individuals or $40 for a family of four. Tickets at the door are $15 for individuals or $45 for a family of four. Proceeds benefit the school’s new dance floor.

What: Shake up your same old, same old weekend activities with a dance performance at 22nd Street’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. Produced by The Pharmacy Project, this evening length duet by dancers Lindsay Lee and Amber Morgan is described as “a tragic portrait of a woman, portrayed by two performers.” Traditionally, the company does not repeat performances, and seating is limited, so make sure to reserve your spot today.
How much: TIckets are $12, and a portion of the night’s proceeds will be donation to the VFW Post. Email thepharmacyproject@gmail.com to RSVP.
