Juguemos a Cantar Afternoon Drop-In Playspace
When: Friday, May 24, 3:30pm to 5pm
Where: Juguemos a Cantar, 463 6th Ave at 10th Street
What: Looking for a way to get the kids out of the house on a rainy Friday afternoon? Juguemos a Cantar’s South Slope location is large, clean, and stocked with a play kitchen, blocks, trains, doll houses, working bench, tools, puppets, soft play area, ball pit, books, craft table & more.
How much: $10 per child / $2 sibling (not applicable to nanny sharing) / adults no charge
Cumbiagra Dance Party
When: Saturday May 25, 10 p.m.
Where: Barbes, 376 Ninth Street at Sixth Avenue
What: Since their creation in the summer of 2008, Cumbiagra has been hosting legendary dance parties throughout New York, Mexico, and beyond. Though Cumbiagra is largely inspired by the Colombian dance style known as cumbia, their music has developed into a synthesis of styles, drawing on the diversity of its members and the rich musical environment of the New York Metro area.

Celebrate Arrested Development With Skylark

What: It’s here, it’s finally here! Get ready for the premiere of season 4 with trivia at 7pm, and a screening of episode 1 at 9pm.

Memorial Day At Greenwood Park

Where: Greenwood Park, 555 7th Avenue at 19th Street
What: Celebrate Memorial Day with Greenwood Park. The weather should be beautiful (sunny and 69), so stop by for the beer garden’s pig roast. Tasty food, bocce & Brooklyn Brewery Summer Ale $4 all day
