When: Thursday, August 1
Where: 609 4th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Street
What: The 4th Avenue coffee shop/bar will host a pop art exhibition Thursday night by artist Jonathan Fritz as Gina of the Jungle “paints the soundscape SONIC 60s for your aural pleasure.” Head out to the patio for a bonus screening of Factory Girl.
How much: Free!

Stevie and the Lion Says Goodbye to Bar 4
When: Friday, August 2, 10pm
Where: 444 7th Avenue at 15th Street
What: The fantastic Stevie and the Lion will play Bar 4 one last time on Friday. Here’s what they had to say about the event on their Facebook page:

Dear Creatures…Oh our hearts are so sad! Bar 4 has been a home base for truly amazing music in Brooklyn for 14 years… and now it’s closing. Stevie and the Lion have the privilege of playing ONE LAST SHOW at this awesome venue! And you better-best-bet that we’re gonna do this right! Come out and help us say Good-bye to everyone’s favorite place!!! Come early to hear the amazing Ms. Alyssa Robbins kick your face in with beautiful music. YUUP! IT-WILL-BE-MAGICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Cheers to Brooklyn Whiskey
When: Saturday, August 3, 4pm
Where: 5th Avenue and 25th Street entrance to Green-Wood
What: Whiskey fan? Join the gang at Green-Wood for a look at some of the 19th Century’s most influential whiskey distillers. Afterward, climb aboard the trolley for a trip to Kings County Distillery at the Brooklyn Navy Yard for a tour and tasting.
How much: $30 for Green-Wood members/$35 for non-members. Price includes the tour and tasting at both locations. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the Green-Wood website.

Summer Games at Lefferts Historic House
When: Sunday, August 4, 2pm to 4pm
Where: Prospect Park Children’s Corner, inside the Willink entrance (intersection of Ocean and Flatbush Avenues and Empire Boulevard).
What: Kids and their adults can spend the afternoon in the shady Lefferts yard learning to play the old colonial game Nine-Man Morris. Best of all, participants will have the opportunity to make a game board to take home with them.
How much: $3 suggested donation.
