Some Halloween Fun In Spite Of Brooklyn’s Challenges

Parents took their little ones trick-or-treating yesterday and for many, it was a welcome reprieve from dealing with the devastation Sandy caused. For those that didn’t get a chance to dress-up and enjoy the festivities, the 17th Annual Halloween Walk and Fairytale Forest at Owl’s Head Park has been postponed until Saturday, November 3.

The event, located at 67th Street and Colonial Road, is a long-standing tradition of family fun. It will take place from 3:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

There will be a haunted walk, pumpkin patch, fairytale forest, apple orchard pony rides, a costume contest, snacks and more.

A suggested donation of $1 at the Haunted Walk and Fairytale Forest helps support the event and those involved. V.I.P passes are also available for purchase at several locations including: Circles  at 6901 3rd Avenue, Boragi Florist at 7613 3rd Avenue, Kaleidoscope Toys at 8722-3rd Avenue, Heart To Heart at 9004-3rd Avenue, and the Bay Ridge Mail Station at 9728 3rd Avenue.
