There’s more fun — and good eating — to be had in our beautiful backyard this Spring.

Smorgasburg, a weekly food festival featuring 100 local and regional food vendors and cuisines from around the world, is returning to Prospect Park on April 3rd.

The event is a “showcase of the best of the borough’s artisanal food scene,” said the Prospect Park Alliance.

Smorgasburg had a very successful trial run in the park last summer. This year, it will be happening every Sunday, from April 3rd to October 23rd, from 11am to 6pm.

Smorgasburg will be closest to the Ocean Avenue side of Prospect Park. Find it on Well House Drive, tucked in between the Lakeside skating rink and the boathouse.

Smorgasburg began in Williamsburg as a spin-off project of Brooklyn Flea founders Jonathan Butler and Eric Demby, and has now become a year round event. It takes place indoors at Industry City in the winter months, and outdoors in Prospect Park and the Williamsburg waterfront during warmer weather.
