Sleeping Straphanger Repeatedly Punched In Face On F Train At 4th Avenue/9th Street, Cops Say

A subway rider who was asleep on an F train was punched repeatedly in the face by two men, police say.

The incident took place on Monday, October 10 at approximately 3:23am in a subway car at the 4th Avenue and 9th Street subway station.

After punching the 35-year-old male victim, the suspects fled off the train, out of the station, and then onto the street.

EMS treated him on the scene for the swelling and bruising on his face.

Cops have provided descriptions of both suspects.

The first individual is a male, black, and in his 20s; last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweater and dark colored pants.

The second individual is a male, Hispanic, and in his 20s; last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweater.
