More housing is planned for Flatbush — this time for a site on Rogers Avenue.

As first reported by NY Yimby, an application was filed yesterday with the City’s Department of Buildings to begin construction on a six-story building housing 24 apartments on Rogers Avenue, just south of Tilden Avenue.

According to the application, each apartment will be approximately 666 square feet in size. The building will also have a very small “community space” (376 square feet) and 1,866 square feet of commercial retail space.

The 5,900 square foot development site is occupied by auto body repair shops. The project is currently pending zoning approval, the DOB’s website says. According to the building application, the Rogers Avenue site is zoned high-density residential, R6, with a commercial “local service district” overlay.

Isaac Stern, of the Borough-Park based Ronica Group, is the owner and developer of the site. Stern purchased the property in April for $484,250, Yimby reports.

We were unable to reach Stern but spoke briefly with Avalon Design Company, which is also listed on the project’s application. We asked about the possible price-point for the apartments coming to Rogers Avenue but they declined to answer.
