Silver Alert: Maria Iacona, 79, Last Seen At 86th Street D Train [Update: Found]
Police are searching for a 79-year-old woman who went missing near 86th Street yesterday.
Maria Iacona left her home on Bay 14th Street Tuesday morning to go to a prayer group, but she never made it there, according to a family member. She was last seen with a white-haired woman at the D train subway station near 18th Avenue at 1pm.
Iacona is described as a white female, 5 feet 2 inches, 130 pounds, with blue eyes and blond hair. She was last seen wearing a brown Michael Kors coat, blue jeans, and dark brown shoes. She speaks Italian and very little English.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s crime stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and then entering TIP577.
Update (3pm): A family member has confirmed that Maria has been found at Lutheran Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
