Silky Hair and Nail Salon Now Open

Here’s Park Slope reports that the salon that replaced Oko Frozen Yogurt on Fifth Ave between Douglass and Degraw — a space once-slated to house the ill-fated Chez Bibis Burger Bar — is now open for business.
It’s not like we had a dearth of hair and nail salons before (although to be fair, we also don’t have a shortage of frozen yogurt or burger joints), but HPS pragmatically points out that while the place “certainly doesn’t bring anything new to the avenue (expect for a faint bluish-pink glow after sunset), it’s better than an empty storefront.” True! And maybe Silky Hair and Nail Salon will secretly turn out to be the best salon ever!
There aren’t any Yelp reviews yet, though one trail-blazing Brooklynian posts that she got a simple trim for $14 — no word on how it was, but presumably fine — and says manicures go for $8 and Brazilians are “a smooth $30.” Anyone been yet?
