Signs Of Life At 461 5th Avenue
We spotted the gates up over the weekend at 461 5th Avenue (on the corner of 10th Street), most recently occupied by La Dolce Cafe and Bakehouse. Unfortunately, nobody was in there when we peeked inside, but a quick visit to the Department of Buildings website shows that a permit has been issued to renovate the space into a bagel store.
South Slope is no stranger to delectable bagels, so it will be interesting to see how the new guys stack up.
No word on a name or an opening date, but we’ll keep you updated with any new information that becomes available.
