#ShowUpForShabbat This Friday And Saturday

This week, in response to the increased anti-semitism across the country, including the almost daily anti-semitic graffiti popping up across Brooklyn, many non-Jewish neighbors are planning to #ShowUpForShabbat to show solidarity with the Jewish community by attending a Friday night or Saturday morning Shabbat service at temples across the country.

If you’d like to show up in solidarity and pray with your neighbors, American Jewish Committee (AJC) has more information on #ShowUpForShabbat and temples that are opening their doors to all. Councilman Brad Lander shared the following ones in Brooklyn:

  • Congregation Beth Elohim: Friday evening services (6:30 pm) and Saturday morning services (9:30 am)
  • Kolot Chayeinu: Friday evening services (6:15 pm) and Saturday morning services (10:30 am)
  • Union Temple of Brooklyn: First Friday Family Shabbat with snacks (6 pm), Friday evening services (6:30 pm) and Saturday morning services (10:30 am)
