BREAKING: Two Shot At Living Room Lounge Early This Morning
Two men are fighting for their lives after being shot at Living Room Steakhouse and Lounge early this morning.
A 48-year-old and 31-year-old were struck by bullets at 12:48am Monday, at the 2408 86th Street restaurant and bar, according to police. One of the victims was shot inside at the bar, and his friend was struck in front of the venue.
A witness said he heard five gunshots ring out, and saw a bloodied man run out into the street, before dropping to the ground.
“The blood trail was around the block,” said the tipster, who asked not to be named. “His friend was screaming for the ambulance, but they took like 15 mins to get there. Everyone in the bar ran out into the street; it was a crazy scene.”
The 62nd Precinct’s commanding officer Captain Anthony Sanseverino told us the men responsible for the crime had a dispute with one of the victims prior to the shooting.
Our tipster noted that brawls are not uncommon at Living Room Lounge.
“It’s a regular occurrence at that bar,” he said.
Both victims were taken to Lutheran Hospital and are expected to survive. No arrests have been made, but a firearm was recovered and an investigation is ongoing, say cops.
