Victim In May Shooting Has Died From Injuries
EAST NEW YORK – One of two people injured from a shooting in May has died. Cops have now deemed the incident a homicide.
On Sunday, May 26 at around 8:08 p.m., five unidentified males starting shooting at two men who were standing on Hendrix Street near Dumont and Livonia Avenues. A 35-year-old man was shot in the right armpit while a 26-year-old man was shot in the right leg. The suspects then fled on foot toward Livonia Street.
The victims were taken to Brookdale Hospital. The 26-year-old was in stable condition, but 35-year-old Sean Smith’s condition was critical. On Sunday, June 30, Smith died from his injuries.
None of the five suspects have been arrested yet. Cops need help searching for the following men. Note: there is no description for the fifth suspect as he was not captured on camera.
Suspect 1 – A black man, in his mid-20s to 30s; last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
Suspect 2 – A black man, in his mid-20s to 30s; last seen wearing a pink t-shirt with white lettering on the front of reading, ‘Stay Strong’, black shorts, and white sneakers.
Suspect 3 – A black man, in his mid-20s to 30s; last seen wearing a purple Du-rag and a black Adidas long-sleeve sweater.
Suspect 4 – A black man, in his mid 20s to 30s; last seen wearing a pink hooded sweater, light blue jeans, and white sneakers.
